It always starts with feel; both in the writing and the performance. It starts with an emotion, inside of me, that must be expressed outwardly and musically. Anger, joy, love, ecstasy…whatever it is that we’re feeling, it is important to find healthy ways to express it. This is mine.
So, when you hear one of my songs, long before you know anything else about it, I want you to know how I’m feeling. I want you to understand the emotion that weaves in and out of the verse, even before you understand the story behind it. And if I’ve done my job, if I’ve put the words and the melody and the rhythm all together in just the right way, you’ll feel it with me.
